Wie fühlen sich Dinge an, die wir nicht sehen und trotzdem wahrnehmen? Wie nehmen wir uns selbst wahr und wie werden wir von der Außenwelt gesehen oder übersehen?
Gemeinsam mit 12 Kindern zwischen 6 und 12 Jahren, mit und ohne Behinderungen, tauchten wir ab ins Meer zum BLINZELWAL, sprachen über Erwartungen, unterschiedliche Perspektiven und Erfahrungen zu Zugehörigkeit, Ausgrenzung, Wut, Mut, Freundschaft und Gemeinschaft.
Das BLINZELWALTEAM hat sich mit den Kindern auf eine Reise unterschiedlicher Wahrnehmungen, Perspektiven und Bedürfnisse gemacht.
Wir zeigen die Dokumentation des von Britt Dunse und Naomi Sanfo konzipierten Tanztheaterworkshops BLINZELWAL.
Das Projekt BLINZELWAL versteht sich als Auftakt einer Workshopreihe, gemeinsam mit Kindern und Expert*innen, mit und ohne Behinderungen, Ästhetiken der Barrierefreiheit für Kinder zu erforschen und denkt behindertes Publikum von Anfang an im künstlerischen Schaffensprozess mit.
Das Projekt ist eine Kooperation mit der Rosa-Parks-Grundschule Berlin Kreuzberg, eine Produktion des Theater Expedition Metropolis und wurde durch den Berliner Projektfonds kulturelle Bildung // Kultur_formen Berlin gefördert.

DER BLINZELWAL (THE BLINKING WHALE) – an inclusive dance theatre performance
The 11th HofFesteSpiele will be taking place from June 28th til July 2nd. This year, our motto is ‚balancing act on the edge‘.
How do things we cannot see feel? How do we perceive ourselves, and how do we get perceived from others? And how are we being overlooked?
With 12 children with and without disability, between 6 and 12 years, we dove into the ocean to visit the blinking whale. We spoke about our expectations, our differing perspectives and our experiences when it comes to belonging, being ostracized to wrath, courage, to friendship and commonality.
The blinking whale team and the kids from the workshop have undertaken a journey of diverse perceptions, needs and senses.
We will be showing a documentation of the dance theatre project.
The workshop created by Britt Dunse und Naomi Sanfo is to be understood to the first in a series of workshops, that will explore the asthetics of freedom of access with children, both with and without disability, as well as experts.
The project has included a disabled audience from its inception.
The project is a cooperation with the Rosa-Parks-Grundschule Berlin Kreuzberg, a production of Expedition Metropolis and has been supported by the Projektfonds kulturelle Bildung // Kultur_formen Berlin.
